Are you a tax planning expert looking to make a direct impact on the financial future of Canadian farm families? Were hiring a Tax Specialist or Manager with a deep understanding of succession planning, corporate reorganizations, and agriculture-related tax issues to join a collaborative team offering high-level advisory services.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being client-facing and solving complex financial and tax matters in a high-trust environment. You'll be part of a cross-functional wealth planning group serving high-net-worth clients across the Prairies.
What You'll DoLead and support onboarding for new tax clients
- Review personal income tax returns and government remittance filings (T4, T5, CDA elections, GST)
- Conduct discovery calls and develop customized tax and succession strategies
- Research and interpret the Income Tax Act, particularly as it relates to farming and small business
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and personal tax plans
- Collaborate closely with senior staff to ensure high-quality, timely delivery
- Manage confidential client information and maintain excellent client relationships
- Stay up to date on tax legislation, with a focus on agricultural issues
- A CPA designation (or are currently enrolled in the In-Depth Tax Course)
- Experience with farm business structures (corporations, partnerships, succession planning, farm rollovers)
- Exposure to CRA reviews and filings (T4, T5, GST, CDA elections)
- Background in working with farm families in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba
- Previous experience in wealth management, HNW advisory, or family office services
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and analytical skills
Strong understanding of tax strategy, compliance, and planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Comfort leading client meetings and planning discussions
Familiarity with electronic tax research tools and client relationship systems
Location: Saskatoon, SK or remote from within Canada
Reporting to: Senior Manager
Salary: $100,000 $120,000 CAD
