ERIS has an immediate opportunity for a detail-orientated historical research analyst with the ability to effectively manage time and resources. Successful candidates will be trained on acquiring, verifying, and georeferencing historical aerial photography.
Full-time position (35 hrs/wk) with flexible hours within availability between the hours of 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Research to be conducted at UBC Department of Geography in Vancouver, B.C and reviewed in home office.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
· Research and Produce Aerial Reports and maintain quality, accuracy and efficient standards.
· Generate custom reports utilizing search criteria established by client.
· Work with Historical Products Team to ensure reports have both robust and accurate content.
· Establish routine communications with management to provide real-time updates on workflow.
· Proactively manage a docket of client orders to maintain consistent productivity and balance of turn-around time (TAT).
· Identify and communicate potential search parameter challenges to ensure end-user satisfaction.
· Maintain accurate notes and documents to improve research process.
· Manage time through proper and consistent steps to generate reports.
· Work independently with minimal supervision by management.
· We work in a fast-paced team environment with each part of the team relying on the other so attention to detail is a must.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University (in Library Sciences, Geographer, Genealogist, Historian, or Journalism) or a minimum of two years of completed study with graduation by 2025.
· Experience and knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office (Word, Excel). Proficient in technology like Bluetooth, WiFi, and other communication protocols.
· Computer skills are a must and GIS, Aerial or Project Management is a bonus.
· Prior work experience in a research setting.
· Ability to read maps.
· Strong ability to multitask.
· Strong time management skills.
· Experience with database management software, administration, or design is an asset.
