Were hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Document Control / RFI Clerk on behalf of our client in the construction industry. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for managing drawings, specifications, and Requests for Information (RFIs), helping ensure project accuracy and smooth communication from office to site.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, organize, and file incoming drawings, specifications, and change orders
Log RFIs from site teams, coordinate responses with designers or engineers, and track replies
Maintain up-to-date drawing sets and ensure all crews have the latest revisions
Keep digital folders organized and regularly backed up
Support project managers with reports, registers, and general documentation
Follow up with trade partners on outstanding documents or overdue responses
Minimum 1 year of experience in office administration or document control (construction experience preferred)
Proficiency with basic computer tools: Word, Excel, PDFs
Excellent attention to detail. Version control and date tracking are essential
Clear written English, with tidy file-naming and formatting habits
- Professional and calm communication style when working with supervisors designers, and trade partners
Comfortable visiting construction sites with required PPE (hard hat, vest, boots)
Familiarity with Procore or similar software is an asset (training provided needed)
Starting at $24/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience
Full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift
Occasional overtime may be required near deadlines
