CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Mine Production Operator for our gypsum plant based in Hagersville, Ontario! This is a permanent, full-time position and involves a rotating day- and night- 12-hour shift schedule. We offer a comprehensive training program including Common Core training, enabling motivated candidates to grow and succeed in a mining environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to safely & effectively apply various mining techniques to extract gypsum rock in an underground mining operation
• Following a training period, operate equipment such as hauler, bolter, unitrac, and loader; perform procedures related to drilling and blasting

• Recognize safety hazards on site and communicate effectively with team members.
• Participate in all safety, continuous improvement, and diversity, equity & inclusion activities as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• A track record of positive safety behaviors, attendance, attitude and work performance with a passion for learning new skills.
• Previous experience in a comparable industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, make decisions, spot details, and communicate effectively are key.
• High school diploma is required; post-secondary education is not necessary but nice to have.
• Comfortability with basic computer applications is an asset.
