Job Summary:
The Warehouse Labourer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, tools, and equipment through our warehouse and to job sites. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with various trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of parts, tools, equipment, and materials
- Pick, pack, and stage materials and tools for outgoing jobs and field staff
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and perform regular cycle counts
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
- Load and unload trucks, verifying accuracy of deliveries and shipments
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organized at all times
- Track and report damaged or missing inventory and assist with returns
- Assist with deliveries to job sites as needed (valid drivers license may be required)
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Support service technicians and site crews with tool/material requests
- Help coordinate equipment rentals and returns with vendors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally in a construction, plumbing, or HVAC environment
- Valid G drivers license & clean driving abstract
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in varying temperatures
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and documentation
- A team player with a strong work ethic and dependable attitude
Work Environment:
- Primarily based in the warehouse, with occasional outdoor work and deliveries
- Use of power tools, ladders, and material handling equipment required
- PPE must be worn as required
