Oxford Learning North York – Lawrence Plaza is hiring part-time teacher-tutors to work with high school students in chemistry and biology. If you're warm, patient, and love helping teens feel confident in science, this could be a great fit for you.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching but doesn't want the stress of planning — our programs are fully pre-designed. We provide all training in our proven teaching methods and support you with ongoing coaching.

Availability:
Evenings (Monday–Thursday 4:00 pm–8:00 pm)
Some Saturdays (9:00 am–2:00 pm)
A commitment through the school year is preferred; summer continuation is a bonus!
Location:
In-person only at our North York – Lawrence Plaza location. This is not an online role.
Other:
Must be able to commute locally
Vulnerable sector screening is required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Fourth-year university students with strong tutoring experience are welcome
OCT or teaching certification is an asset
Strong knowledge of Grades 9–12 chemistry and biology curricula
Experience & Skills:
Experience tutoring or teaching high school students in science
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable guiding up to 3 students at a time
Able to balance teaching and creating a positive, supportive environment
You'll work as an Interactive Coach, guiding students through lessons, encouraging their progress, and celebrating their wins. Responsibilities include:
Teaching students one-on-one and in small groups (up to 3 at a time)
Delivering in-person and occasional online sessions
Using Oxford Learning's pre-designed materials
Providing feedback after each session
Keeping communication with students and families warm and consistent
