Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Handyman to support a variety of residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to carry out general repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks under minimal supervision. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in interior renovations and a willingness to grow within a dynamic team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install vanity cabinets, slab doors, and sliding closet doors with precision.

  • Install baseboards, quarter rounds, and perform detailed finish carpentry.

  • Conduct interior painting, drywall installation, and drywall repairs.

  • Install a variety of tiles including flooring, tub surrounds, and backsplashes.

  • Measure, cut, and install laminate countertops and closet shelving systems on-site.

  • Perform miscellaneous carpentry tasks, including mounting bathroom accessories, air grills, and minor fixtures.

  • Install various flooring materials such as vinyl, laminate, and engineered hardwood.

  • Support interior renovation projects through general labor and skilled assistance.

  • Conduct basic plumbing hookups (asset).

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project completion and site operations.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction or general contracting roles.

  • Proven experience with tools and equipment relevant to the job (e.g., drills, saws, levels).

  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, both on and off-site.

  • Ability to interpret work orders, read blueprints/drawings, and execute tasks accordingly.

  • Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials as required.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to follow and complete daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.


Preferred Skills (Assets):

  • Experience with minor plumbing installations.

  • Familiarity with building code requirements and health and safety standards.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (an asset but not required).

  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members.
