The General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage resources, and develop strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this individual will play a key leadership role in executing Onyx's long-term growth objectives while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement operational plans aligned with the company's strategic goals.

· Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments and ensure service excellence.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.

· Monitor productivity and conduct performance evaluations across teams.

· Analyze data and key metrics to inform business decisions and employee performance.

· Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and cultivating client accounts.

· Collaborate with leadership and frontline staff to achieve key performance outcomes.

· Ensure compliance with internal policies and confidentiality requirements.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and sound decision-making abilities, even under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Management or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in the security industry (must provide valid proof of employment).

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required).

  • Proven experience in conducting performance evaluations and staff development.

  • Solid understanding of human resources processes and compliance standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve profit margins, enhance client satisfaction, and boost operational efficiency.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze budgets, track KPIs, and contribute to company growth.

  • Skilled in identifying opportunities for margin improvement, cost control, and business expansion.

  • Effective people leader with the ability to motivate, manage, and inspire teams at all organizational levels.
