Who We Are David Nairne & Associates Ltd (DNA) is a multi-disciplinary firm of civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, planners, and project managers. With more than 50 years of experience and a team of 60+ professionals, we work on unique projects throughout BC and northern Canada. Our client base includes Federal, Provincial, Indigenous, and Mtis governments, as well as government agencies and private sector developers. Many of our projects are in stunning, remote communities where our work has meaningful impact.
The Opportunity - We are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer with experience in municipal infrastructure (water, wastewater, stormwater, roads) and land development to join our team. Youll work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environmentcollaborating with planners, architects, and structural engineers under the mentorship of experienced professionals. This position offers exciting challenges, career growth, and long-term leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support civil engineering design for municipal and land development projects
- Mentor and support junior engineers and EITs through project work and reviews
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients
- Oversee contract administration and provide construction support
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering
- Registration as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year of work experience in Canada
- Experience with contract administration and construction inspection
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or on projects in remote communities is a strong asset
- Strong communication, technical writing, and computer skills
- Valid BC drivers license
