WHAT YOULL DO:

The AI & Automation Specialist is an integral member of the Mancal Information Technology team and will work on projects with all of Mancals operating companies. Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

• Evaluate, design, and implement AI and automation-driven solutions for business process improvements across various departments.
• Translate business needs into proof-of-concept (PoC) or minimum viable product (MVP) solutions, with an eye toward scale and sustainability.
• Use low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Power Platform AI Builder) and/or RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) to quickly prototype solutions.
• Build lightweight agents or AI workflows powered by LLMs, APIs, or cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with business teams to map processes, uncover pain points, and co-develop use cases for intelligent automation.
• Support the deployment, testing, and change management lifecycle of AI/automation solutions (PoC MVP Production).
• Work closely with IT Business Analysts and the AI Governance Council to ensure responsible use of AI aligned with internal policies and ethical standards.
• Stay current with evolving tools, automation platforms, and AI trends. Recommend whats right for each use case, not just whats familiar.
• Help document, educate, and evangelize AI-driven approaches internally through workshops or working sessions.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience delivering AI/automation solutions, ideally across different platforms and industries
• Proven ability to go beyond experimentation and deliver PoC or production-ready solutions with measurable outcomes
• Strong understanding of automation toolingranging from Power Automate, Logic Apps, or Zapier to enterprise tools like UiPath or Automation Anywhere
• Solid grasp of AI concepts including LLMs, NLP, machine learning, or agentic AI
• Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, scikit-learn, Hugging Face)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valuable)
• Exposure to tools like Copilot, AI Builder, or OpenAI APIs
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain and co-create solutions with non-technical users
