The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support as a Content Developer within the Product Management and Supplier Relations branch.
This position is required to work on-site.
Summary
This position is responsible for developing content for all promotional and other activities of the branch, including sell sheets, catalogs, websites, social content, and more. The Content Developer manages content in three sections of the SLGA website: ‘for Liquor retailers', ‘for Liquor Suppliers', and ‘for SK Craft producers'. The Content Developer creates and posts content that supports the branch's strategic direction and marketing initiatives. The Content Developer develops and manages a content calendar for planning and uses website reporting and analytics to guide and recommend future content decisions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage content in three sections of the SLGA website: the marketing webpages ‘for Liquor Retailers', ‘for Liquor Suppliers' section, and ‘for SK Craft producers' section.
  • Design and develop sell sheets and catalogs to support regular and ad-hoc activities and events.
  • Establish social pages for liquor retailers, including Facebook and Instagram, develop and manage content and respond to comments and messages appropriately.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar for all online mediums, aligning content to branch objectives, ensuring regularly changing and valuable content is provided and supporting marketing activities and events.
  • Stay informed of activities driven from the branch and identify opportunities to use those activities to drive content.
  • Manage day-to-day changes and updates to the defined sections of the website.
  • Create, edit, and curate content using basic graphic design, ensuring content is visually compelling, relevant and engaging.
  • Post content to the websites, ensuring brand standards are met.
  • Establish and lead content brainstorming sessions to drive content ideas.
  • Develop, share, and act as an advisor on brand standards and best practices for website content and user experience.
  • Using website reporting and analytics, make recommendations to the Product and Promotion team and other stakeholders to guide future content decisions.
  • Support email marketing strategies by working with teams to coordinate weekly emails, ensuring SLGA's brand standards are met.
  • Manage subscriber databases, create engaging newsletters, and analyze email performance.
Required Technical Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in computer science, digital media, graphic design, web development, or related area.
  • Applied knowledge of graphic design, front-end web development and computer programs such as InDesign, CANVA, and Adobe Creative Suit.
  • Knowledge of online industry best practices and branding best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of current web design and development principles and technologies.
  • Knowledge of social platforms in a B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in web analytics and web metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in computer programs such as web browsers, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher).
  • Working knowledge of email marketing programs and tools.
  • Ability to operate in a deadline-based environment.
Working Conditions
Core office hours are 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Monday to Friday, with a scheduled day off every second week, excluding statutory holidays such as New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Remembrance Day and Christmas Day. The majority of the work day is spent sitting at a desk keyboarding. The Content Developer must demonstrate their commitment to safety by consistently ensuring the well-being of themselves and others in the workplace. Must also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support to multiple team members.
