Ideally, having a solid background in technical construction or steel fabrication project management including project controls, contract management and the steel project life cycle, successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Must know steel. For an intermediate or senior role, a minimum of 5-10 years technical experience in the steel manufacturing or construction industries within Western Canada is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have a PMP Designation along with related Construction Management or Project Management degrees;
- For a junior role, preference will be given to candidates who have recent related Construction Management or Project Management designations andthe desire to know steel;
- Exceptional computer skills; able to master various scheduling and project management software, including full proficiency in Excel;
- Solves problems and contributes new ideas that improve quality and efficiency;
- Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to safety procedures;
- Exceptional client facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal.

Well-organized, technologically competent individuals who are accountable for the successful execution of the contract (bid margins, risk mitigation, etc) will act as the main client facing contacts representing Supreme Steel with the steel project life cycle.
Project Managers will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Client relationships including ensuring contractual obligations of both Supreme Steel and its Client are met;
- Expert communication and coordination to ensure project stakeholders are in lock step regarding project schedule, the price to perform the work, the quality of the products and any changes thereto;
- Contract management including Notice and Change Order management;
- Project controls, estimating, contract management;
- Growing scope and winning new work on current or other projects.
