Concrete Finisher Atlantic Road Construction & Paving

ARCP is a locally owned & operated heavy civil construction company based in Dartmouth, NS. One of our specialties is concrete work, and we are looking for one experienced concrete finisher to join our team! Concrete operations are seasonal in nature, but we will keep our crews working for as long as possible.

Requirements

• 3-5 years previous experience as a Concrete Finisher.
  
• Valid Drivers License & reliable transportation to work required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Strong communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct placement of concrete.
  
• Mixing, pouring and spreading concrete.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete.
  
• Installing and removing concrete forms.
  
• Shoveling, grading and smoothing concrete.
  
• Maintain and restore various curbs, sidewalks, etc.
• Operating a power vibrator to compress concrete.
• Applying curing or surface treatment to laid concrete.
• Applying hardening and sealing compounds to concrete
• Repair/resurface/replace worn or damaged concrete.
• Complete desired finished concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Other duties as required.
