Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Laser Operator with setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting equipment.
- Load and unload sheet metal materials onto the laser table.
- Perform basic measurements and visual inspections to ensure cut parts meet quality standards.
- Organize and sort finished parts for the next stage of production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety procedures.
- Support inventory tracking and material handling as needed.
- Regularly inspect the cut pieces for accuracy, precision, and overall quality, using measuring tools and visual inspections.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the cutting process, such as material defects or deviations from the specifications. Ensure the part is correct to the best of your ability before. handing over to QC for approval.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow established procedures to ensure the safe operation of the laser cutting machine and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is an asset but not required.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving sheet metal materials. (up to 50lbs repeatedly).
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Forklift experience and/or certification is an asset.
- Experience with basic hand tools is required (hammer, orbital, file ect) .
- Basic math skills are required.
Employment Details:
- Starting Wage: Dependent on experience.
- Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
