Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of a modern data infrastructure supporting enterprise-wide analytics and reporting initiatives. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and related data technologies. The ideal candidate will play a critical part in driving a data-first culture and enabling strategic business insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Solution Design

• Design and implement scalable, secure analytics solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms.
  
• Develop and evolve enterprise data models (Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF) to meet both operational and analytical needs.
  
• Apply architectural frameworks and data modeling methodologies to real-world use cases.
  
• Manage multi-layered data environments (Raw, Curated, Business) to support end-to-end data flow and usability.
  

Data Integration & Engineering

• Build and maintain reusable data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Fabric, and SQL Server.
  
• Monitor and enhance logging and alerting frameworks to proactively address data quality and reliability issues.
  
• Partner with business and technical teams to onboard new data sources and optimize ingestion processes.
  
• Align data integration with data modeling standards to meet enterprise reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.
  

Dashboard Development & BI Optimization

• Create secure, high-performance dashboards in Power BI using composite and semantic models tailored to stakeholder needs.
  
• Optimize DAX measures and data models for performance and reusability.
  
• Enforce data security best practices including RLS/OLS, data masking, and auditing.
  
• Manage Power BI refresh schedules and dataset performance; provide mentorship to junior developers.
  

Data Security & Governance

• Implement data security protocols including encryption, access controls, and DLP measures.
  
• Maintain compliance with internal and external data governance policies.
  

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in data analytics/architecture, with at least 7 years in solution architecture roles.
  
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Fabric, Logic Apps, Key Vaults, DevOps) and SQL Server stack (T-SQL, Power Query, DAX, MDX).
  
• Proven ability to troubleshoot Power BI dashboards and write advanced DAX measures.
  
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  

Preferred:

• Experience in the financial sector or similar data-sensitive industries.
  
• Exposure to other BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
  
• Certifications in Power BI or Azure-related technologies.
