The Role

As a Junior VDC Coordinator, youll be part of a collaborative team that helps bring construction designs to life. This is an excellent entry point into the world of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), ideal for someone who enjoys working with 3D models and is eager to build a career in the mechanical construction industry. Youll work closely with senior team members to create detailed 3D models and construction drawings that support prefabrication and installation activities on major projects. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and provides plenty of learning opportunities for those who are ready to grow.

What Youll Be Doing

• Set up Revit project files by creating views, levels, and sheets using company templates
• Use view templates to ensure drawings are consistent and easy to understand
• Add tags, dimensions, and notes to mechanical drawings so theyre ready for fabrication and installation
• Help prepare drawing packages for review, submission, and on-site use
• Break down mechanical systems into spool drawings for fabrication, identifying logical breakpoints
• Track how model components move through the shop and into the field
• Work with senior staff to make sure your work matches project timelines and construction needs
• Double-check your models and drawings for accuracy and completeness

What You Bring

• A certificate or diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Systems Technology, or a related field
• 03 years of experience in VDC, drafting, or mechanical construction support (new grads welcome!)
• Exposure to Revit or other 3D modeling tools through school, internships, or co-op work
• Ability to obtain reliability clearance (Secret clearance is an asset)

Technical Skills Were Looking For

• Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit and comfort navigating models
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting tools
• Understanding of basic annotation tools and drawing setup
• A beginners understanding of HVAC and piping system components
• Willingness to work in shared project environments and learn standard workflows
