Position Summary:

As the Director of Project Delivery, you will lead the successful execution of all construction projects from pre-construction through turnover. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding of industrial construction, and specific experience with food-related facilities. You will oversee project teams, ensure alignment with client goals, and drive performance across scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction across all active and upcoming projects.

  • Lead project delivery teams, including Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Coordinators.

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.

  • Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-construction to define scope, schedule, logistics, and procurement strategies.

  • Manage and optimize project delivery processes, identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices.

  • Oversee risk management, change management, and issue resolution across all projects.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and food industry-specific building codes and standards (e.g., CFIA, HACCP, GMP).

  • Support business development by providing technical input on proposals, client presentations, and project planning.

  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in industrial construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership/project delivery role.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering food processing, cold storage, or logistics facilities.

  • In-depth understanding of industrial building systems, food-grade construction, and environmental/health standards for food facilities.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple large-scale projects, and build strong client relationships.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • PMP certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
