Position Summary:As the Director of Project Delivery, you will lead the successful execution of all construction projects from pre-construction through turnover. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding of industrial construction, and specific experience with food-related facilities. You will oversee project teams, ensure alignment with client goals, and drive performance across scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership and direction across all active and upcoming projects.
Lead project delivery teams, including Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Coordinators.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-construction to define scope, schedule, logistics, and procurement strategies.
Manage and optimize project delivery processes, identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices.
Oversee risk management, change management, and issue resolution across all projects.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and food industry-specific building codes and standards (e.g., CFIA, HACCP, GMP).
Support business development by providing technical input on proposals, client presentations, and project planning.
Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in industrial construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership/project delivery role.
Demonstrated experience delivering food processing, cold storage, or logistics facilities.
In-depth understanding of industrial building systems, food-grade construction, and environmental/health standards for food facilities.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple large-scale projects, and build strong client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
PMP certification or equivalent is considered an asset.
