Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong mechanical knowledge base, with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. This role involves transporting materials and equipment to job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and graders.
• Safely transport materials to and from job sites while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to build, dig and complete construction projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials delivered.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Conduct basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license is required (mandatary Class 3, preference given to candidates with a Class 1)
• Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or equipment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
