Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, technically proficient, and relationship-driven Project Manager – Product Evolution to lead fast-paced initiatives in a high-intensity manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in managing iterative design improvements, Basis of Design changes, and implementing post-submittal design modifications—often under aggressive timelines and with continuously evolving requirements.

The ideal candidate will effectively manage multiple concurrent projects and design iterations, ensuring seamless cross-functional execution, stakeholder alignment, and exceptional customer satisfaction. A strong ability to navigate shifting scopes, track modifications in real-time, and implement risk mitigation strategies is essential to maintaining delivery commitments and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of project lifecycles, leading the successful delivery of new initiatives, Basis of Design modifications, and field-based design changes during commissioning.
  • Actively engage Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Service Support teams to align on priorities, ensure timely execution of modifications/iterative design improvements for production, inventory, and field deployment.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Build trusted relationships, drive alignment on objectives, and hold contributors accountable to project commitments and timelines.
  • Develop, communicate, and manage detailed project schedules with clear milestones and dependencies. Proactively identify critical paths, anticipate risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
  • Lead the execution of continuous design updates with precision and urgency. Ensure that revisions are effectively integrated into ongoing manufacturing and commissioning processes without disrupting downstream timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess capacity, prioritize high-impact work, and make informed trade-offs. Ensure cross-functional resources are effectively aligned to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of all active design changes and project milestones. Provide clear visibility to stakeholders and drive timely resolution of issues and dependencies to prevent schedule slippage.
  • Deliver timely, transparent updates to internal leadership and customer stakeholders. Champion accuracy and consistency in project documentation to support confident decision-making and team alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; PMP certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within manufacturing, engineering, or similar technical environments.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a matrixed, cross-functional organization with shifting priorities and high complexity.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to interpret engineering inputs and interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and time management.
  • Diplomatic and assertive communicator, with a track record of managing accountability while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing schedules, identifying critical paths, and driving cross-functional accountability.
  • Comfortable operating in high-pressure environments with ambiguity and constant iteration.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar.
