Senior Process Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead the design of complex skid-mounted process piping systems focused on hydrogen isotope management and other specialized applications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as lead Process Engineer during the initial phases of engineering projects.· Develop detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and stream diagrams to define system architecture.· Thoroughly review project technical specifications to identify key engineering challenges and requirements.· Plan and oversee required process calculations and ensure timely execution.· Select and specify valves, instruments, lines, hangers, and other system components in coordination with Mechanical and I&C Engineers.· Prepare and maintain comprehensive equipment, line, valve, instrument, and cost lists.· Review and sign off on technical specification sheets for procurement.· Prepare high-level documentation including Design Descriptions, Design Requirements, and Design Manuals.· Contribute to equipment sizing and overall system configuration.· Ensure compliance with process safety standards and Quality Assurance protocols.· Develop Control Narratives and outline content for Operations and Maintenance Manuals.· Organize and lead design reviews involving cross-functional teams, including construction personnel.· Finalize and manage document and drawing lists to support efficient project delivery.
Qualifications:· Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on complex systems design.· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license with stamping authority.· Strong academic background and technical aptitude.· Proven experience with hydrogen systems or isotope management is a strong asset.· Familiarity with design and development of skid-mounted process systems.· Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary engineering environments.· Deep understanding of process safety, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
