Acting as a cross-functional connector between Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Corporate Analytics, and external partners, the Marketing Analytics Lead brings strong analytical rigor, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every challenge. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident navigating large and incomplete datasets, and is energized by transforming complex information into actionable insights that drive business growth.

If you were the Marketing Analytics Lead now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

Marketplace eCommerce Insights & Analytics Leadership (Amazon.com & Chewy.com):

  • Support the eCommerce Senior Manager by leveraging numerous data sources to analyze sales, traffic, conversion, and share trends across Amazon and Chewy
  • Track and assess performance across multiple dimensions of the marketplace eCommerce business, including SKU-level performance, ad campaigns, keyword trends, promotions, and content optimizations, to build insights and make data-driven recommendations
  • Develop and run A/B tests, conduct pre/post analysis, measure ROI, and build business cases to support conversion optimization, ads performance, and investment decisions
  • Maintain monthly performance dashboards to monitor trends and provide leadership with clear, timely updates. Continuously optimize dashboarding by incorporating new metrics, ways of measuring and consolidating data, and benchmarking/target-setting
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing to build a new full-funnel dashboard, integrating disparate data sources to improve visibility into traffic drivers and conversion behavior on Amazon and Chewy
  • Partner with external agencies to optimize reporting, ensure consistent measurement, and optimize campaign execution
  • In partnership with the Digital Marketing team and our platform and agency partners, improve attribution approaches by improving use of tools and methodologies like Amazon Attribution, Amazon Marketing Cloud, DSP measurement, and pixel tracking

Digital & Performance Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the Digital and Performance Marketing teams to assess multi-channel campaign effectiveness across paid media, search, website, social media, influencers and other channels
  • Maintain KPI dashboards to track full-funnel performance from awareness to conversion and loyalty
  • Analyze user journeys, traffic sources, channel/tactic engagement, and campaign performance reporting to inform optimization opportunities
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests to answer key business questions

Corporate Analytics Partnership:

  • Partner closely with the Corporate Planning & Analytics team to represent eCommerce & Digital Marketing for all corporate analytics and reporting needs
  • Work with Corporate Planning & Analytics and IT to evaluate, select and implement new best-in-class tools to improve automation of data integration and dashboarding

Here are some of the skills we are looking for you to bring to the team:

  • Analytical Acumen: Deep expertise in digital, eCommerce, and marketing analytics; able to analyze complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Full-Funnel Fluency: Strong understanding of performance metrics across the entire marketing funnel, from awareness to loyalty.
  • Marketplace Expertise: Solid experience with Amazon and Chewy platforms, including performance tracking, advertising metrics, and content testing.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Adept at collaborating across departments and agencies, translating analytics into strategies that align with marketing, sales, and business goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of tools like Power BI, Excel, and marketplace analytics platforms (e.g., Stackline, Helium10, SEMrush).
  • Strategic Thinking: Balances short-term optimizations with long-term planning; identifies trends and builds data-driven strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Seeks out opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance reporting systems and data workflows.
  • Storytelling & Influence: Communicates complex information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
