CNC Machinist
Location: Stoney Creek, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. If you take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and working with CNC mills and lathes, this is a great opportunity to grow in a supportive and innovative environment.
What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce custom parts to critical tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to ensure accuracy.
- Select and install appropriate tools, materials, and machine accessories.
- Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on machines as needed.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience (multi-axis mills & lathes), in steel processing or fabrication.
- Experience with 5-axis machines.
- Proficiency in G-code and Mazatrol programming.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is an asset.
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus.
