Role Summary
We are seeking a highly proactive, organized, and agile Senior Project Coordinator to support the Managing Director across a dynamic portfolio of initiatives and lead project management and reporting for a major Global Affairs Canada (GAC) grant.

You will coordinate cross-departmental projects, support operational priorities, and ensure the timely delivery of grant requirements. This role is ideal for a versatile generalist passionate about international development, project management, and collaborative, impact-driven work environments. Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Management and Reporting (GAC Restricted Grant)

  • Lead project management and reporting for a restricted grant from GAC, ensuring compliance with deliverables, timelines, and financial requirements. The project to conclude in December 2025 with final project reporting due in February 2026.
  • Coordinate activities across partner teams and stakeholder to track progress, address risks, and maintain alignment with grant commitments.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality narrative and financial reports in collaboration with finance and program teams.
  • Monitor grants budgets and support expenditure tracking and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact internally for all matters related to the GAC grant.
  • Support the development of concept notes and proposals for potential project partnerships with GAC.

Cross-Portfolio Project Coordination

  • Provide hands-on project coordination support across initiatives spanning Programs, Applied Learning, Communications, and Venn, our data analytics ecosystem.
  • Develop project plans, track milestones, flag risks, and facilitate solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Assist in strategic initiatives and special projects.

Executive Support

  • Act as a critical support partner to the Managing Director in advancing organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate multi-departmental projects, streamline workflows, and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Support prospecting and proposal development for research- and Venn-related grant opportunities by coordinating inputs, conducting funder scans, and contributing to proposal narratives.
  • Prepare briefs, project updates, and strategic communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this role.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Development, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project coordination, grant management, or strategic operations within international development or nonprofit settings.
  • Proven success managing complex projects and delivering high-quality reports for funders (experience with GAC-funded projects is a strong asset).
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, initiative, and collaborative working style.
  • Experience working with field teams in international settings.
  • Willing and able to travel to countries of operation. Field travel to last-mile communities may be required.
  • Experience or interest in grant prospecting and proposal development, particularly for research, data, or innovation projects will be an asset.
  • Experience or interest in data-driven projects, technology solutions, and the development of learning tools and resources.
