Litigation Lawyer with 5+ Years Experience
A well-established law firm is seeking a senior litigation lawyer, ideally with insurance defence experience. Lawyers with at least 5 years of experience are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will manage their own litigation files and assist senior counsel as necessary. You will also work with and supervise junior lawyers, where needed, and support staff. You will handle claims involving fires, property damage, fraud, automobile accidents, personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, product liability, construction claims, equipment breakdown, and more.
The ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks on schedule, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, is required. Experience in the courtroom and defence work in areas such as tort, coverage, property, and casualty would be an asset.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from an accredited law school
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on the relevant practice area
Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
