General Description

The Order Entry & Shipping/Receiving Representative is a key contributor to our fast-paced day-to-day operations - providing exceptional customer service by working with the order management and Inside sales team. This position is a focal point for our order processing including order entry, new customer set up, and price checking. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high-performing customer support team. Performs duties related to incoming and outgoing shipments.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Answer customer calls
  • Assess and understand customer needs and expectations.
  • Process sales orders in the order entry platform
  • Validate and approve orders.
  • Working in conjunction with inside sales
  • Track requests in order to respond to customers as soon as possible.
  • Expediting of Open Orders
  • Inventory Management, Basic understanding of shipping/receiving
  • Receive, unpack, and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, and arrange to rectify damages and shortages
  • Ensure that all shipments are sent out and/or received in a timely fashion
  • Participate in regular inventory count
  • Other related duties as assigned

Work Experience Requirements / Skills

  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in customer service or significant sales - Experience with computer systems.
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team.
  • Important - Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word software

Education Requirements

  • Must be highly organized, with a well-developed ability to multi-task.
  • Possess ability to quickly learn and retain vendor-related information as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interact with others in a businesslike and professional manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
