Youll be responsible for core month-end activities, reconciliations, reporting prep, and payroll for a real estate brokerage. Our Finance Team members are foundational to how Faris Team functions as the #1 Real Estate Team in Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and expanding team with a vision to transform the Real Estate industry and to provide the Best Real Estate Experience. This is a full time position in our flagship Barrie office.The successful candidate will have 3-5 years full-cycle bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and is process-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end, including prepaids, accruals, amortization
- Maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts (prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany)
- Corporate VISA reconciliations and allocation entries
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, working papers, and variance analysis, where required.
- Support preparation of HST filings and government remittances
- Weekly payroll processing (source deductions, T4s, ROEs, EHT)
- Contribute to the transition from QuickBooks Desktop to Sage Intacct
- Participate in process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures
Qualifications:
- 35 years full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop; Sage Intacct exposure is an asset
- Familiarity with Canadian payroll regulations and filings
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., reconciliations, lookups, pivot tables)
- Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
- Experience in real estate or multi-entity environments is a strong asset
