The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Coquitlam, BC on a one-year contract. As the Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for completing payroll-related activities for multiple business units, and reviewing payroll data and documentation for accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Payroll Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies
- Prepare and submit paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments
- Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
- Process benefit costs, including insurance fees and sick leaves
- Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and tax
- Handle biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual remittance reports
- Complete monthly payroll reconciliation for accounting month-end
- Review GL mappings for payroll GL accounts
- Solve system configuration issues and work with team to make payroll system more user-friendly
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as business administration, accounting or finance
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification
- At least three years of related experience processing Canadian payroll
- Hands-on experience with payroll software such as UKG or ADP
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability

The base pay range for this role is: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is a remote role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
