We are currently seeking an experienced Continental Chef to bring creativity, precision, and leadership to our high-volume banquet kitchen.
Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Continental Chef with a proven background in high-end banquet service or fine dining. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in similar environments, demonstrates culinary leadership, and has a passion for global flavors. In this role, you will help execute large-scale events, maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation, and support the growth of our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality Continental cuisine in line with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
Oversee food preparation and execution for a variety of banquet events, ensuring consistency and timeliness
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant kitchen environment in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on menu planning and recipe development
Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and support efforts to control food costs and reduce waste
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork
Uphold and exceed guest expectations by ensuring consistent culinary excellence and presentation
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in a high-pressure kitchen environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef in a banquet kitchen, fine dining restaurant, or luxury hotel setting
Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine, international flavor profiles, and current culinary trends
Red Seal Certification or equivalent, and valid Food Safety Certification (required)
Proven ability to work in high-volume environments while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations
Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using kitchen management systems
Physically fit and capable of performing all duties including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
A team player with a positive, self-motivated attitude and leadership potential
