Job Title: Junior Tooling/Maintenance Technician

Location: Keswick Ontario

Industry: Pulp Manufacturing

Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

Experience: Minimum three years experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assembling, fitting and repairing tools.

Follow engineer drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.

Monitoring the tools used on the manufacturing lines to ensure efficient run rates and identify necessary repairs or possible improvements.

Attending machine breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem.

Assist with tool maintenance.

Assist with changeovers.

Using precision measurement instruments as micrometers, gauges and Vernier calipers to check the tool dimensions.

Following production schedules and making sure all up and coming tools are checked, cleaned, repaired and ready to go onto the machines.

Keeping the tool room organized.

Competent and safe operation of all machines and equipment at all times.

Maintaining records of maintenance and repair activities as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.

Understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings & GD&T.

Strong knowledge of operating various tool room machinery and equipment.

Able to project the steps needed to accomplish tasks and for see potential problems for correction.

Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

Self motivated team player with a positive attitude.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
