Company Description

We are Chandos

Inclusion, collaboration, innovation and courage.

These values speak to our desire to create places where all people belong, listening and learning from one another in a way that sparks ideas and leads to positive changes in our industry and community. They also demonstrate our commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. And, if they resonate with you too, we should talk!

We are 100 percent employee owned and proud to be the first and largest B Corp certified national technical builder in North America, meaning we put our values at the centre of everything we do.

Continuous improvement is core to our success. Championing innovative and collaborative ways to build is just one example of that. Collaborative construction leads to more efficiency, cost savings, social value, and a much better working experience for everyone.

Every day, our teams are working to build places for people to live, work, learn, serve, and play. But above all, we're building community. And, we're looking for like-minded people to join us. Together, we can build a better world.

Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on, self-starting Project Manager who owns projects from kickoff through closeout. You'll drive innovation, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure every project—valued between $10M and $50M—delivers on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project life cycle—from pre-construction planning through commissioning and turnover
  • Integrate Chandos systems and processes across procurement, scope control, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications
  • Own and maintain the project budget; produce accurate monthly forecasts and identify cost-saving or value-add opportunities
  • Build, organize, and mentor project teams (internal staff, subcontractors, vendors) to deliver milestones and deliverables on schedule
  • Serve as primary liaison for clients, architects, engineers, site superintendents, and other stakeholders—fostering strong, trust-based relationships
  • Champion Lean Construction principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives on every job
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues—keeping projects moving forward without delays
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, safety, and regulatory standards (CSTS 2020)
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management with a mid- to large-sized general contractor, overseeing projects in the $10M–$50M range
  • Proven track record managing “cradle to grave” delivery: you own every phase, not just a piece of it
  • A driver's mentality: entrepreneurial, decisive, and laser-focused on results
  • Innovative problem-solver: you anticipate challenges and deliver creative, cost-effective solutions
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills—able to get the best out of diverse teams
  • Solid financial acumen: comfortable owning budgets, forecasts, and profit targets
  • Deep understanding of Lean Construction concepts (formal training is a plus)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management—your presence instills confidence
  • Willingness to travel regularly to local job sites

Additional Information
