Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Provide optimum total patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in Rehab
  • Work to assist patients with disability and or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function
  • Support both patients and their families in the therapeutic environment
  • Completion of the Functional Independence Measure (FIM)
Qualifications
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum two years recent experience practicing as a Registered Practical Nurse
  • Recent rehabilitative nursing experience preferred, with exemplary clinical skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
  • Understanding the philosophy of rehabilitative care as it applies to patient, families and the multidisciplinary team
  • Works collaboratively with team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment
  • Demonstrated abilities in conflict management and resolution
  • Current medication administration certificate
  • Current BCLS
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings, 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary:
Minimum: $35.29 per hour
Maximum: $38.16 per hour
