About Us
We are looking to recruit on behalf of a growing company in the forefront of renewable energy. Due to a surge of new projects, an established and growing company is seeking a skilled Renewables Electrical Installations Manager to head our Electrical Installation Teams in the Newmarket area. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in design, planning and implantation of cutting edge renewable energy systems, along with the leadership and organisational skills to manage teams, timelines, and electrical compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical design and ensure full compliance with BS7671, G98, G99, and MCS standards. Review and sign off all installations.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, apprentices, and subcontractors, promoting a positive, safety-first culture.
- Carry out site assessments, plan and coordinate installations, manage materials, and ensure all electrical works are signed off and documented.
- Maintain high-quality standards through regular site checks and enforce health and safety best practices throughout all operations.
What Were Looking For
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018, incl. Amendment 2)
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (Initial & Periodic Inspection & Testing)
- City & Guilds 2357 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Installation) or
- City & Guilds 2346-03 (Experienced Worker) with AM2E
- 10+ years of hands-on electrical installation experience
- 3+ years in renewable system design and installation
- 1+ year leading and managing installation teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and safety standards
- Confident technical point of contact for internal and external queries
- Full UK Driving Licence
