Sales Representative CPG
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 3 days/week in office)
Compensation: $75,000$85,000 base salary + performance incentives + benefits
About the Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing food company with a strong presence in the natural and organic protein space. As they expand across Canada and the U.S., they are looking to add a Sales Representative to manage and grow relationships with key grocery and distributor accounts.
This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who understands the dynamics of CPG and retail grocery. Youll work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure best-in-class customer support, retail execution, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Growth
- Manage and grow existing retail and distributor accounts
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with buyers and partners
- Present business updates, performance insights, and new opportunities
- Execute against customer business plans and promotional calendars
Sales Support & Execution
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and accurate order fulfillment
- Support item setup, pricing, and trade promotion execution
- Monitor sales trends and provide feedback to internal stakeholders
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new retail and specialty channel opportunities
- Support broker and distributor relationships to expand brand presence
- Gather market and customer feedback to help refine sales strategy
Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in CPG sales or account management
- Experience working with major grocery retailers (e.g., Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Whole Foods)
- Background in food & beverage, natural products, or wellness is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and presentation abilities
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with trade promotion or retail sales tools is a plus
