PURPLE was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. A collective of friends and industry veterans set out to launch a collection of mens denim and luxury basics. Denim is the anchor of the modern mans wardrobe; PURPLE is dedicated to making that anchor more interesting.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our Vancouver team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for:
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations and schedules for all balance sheet accounts.
- Be a key player in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, collaboration with other departments, and variance analysis.
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
- Prepare Purple business transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of recorded transactions through account reconciliations, analysis, and investigation.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit.
- Streamline accounting processes and procedures to create efficiencies and improve data accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with the entire Accounting/Finance team and other departments.
- Assist with other related duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- CPA Certification or enrollment in a CPA program.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Ability to think critically, identify issues, interpret, and apply accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Humble and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel (pivot tables, SUMIF, and VLOOKUP functions).
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP software.
- Previous experience in wholesale distribution and/or the retail/fashion industry is an asset.
