About Us

We are a well-established plastic card manufacturer producing secure cards for financial, commercial, and government applications. Our production relies on precision and reliability, and we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support maintenance activities across our site.

Position Overview

This is a working lead role, ideal for a senior technician ready to step into leadership. You'll perform day-to-day maintenance duties while supervising and mentoring one electromechanical technician. Together, you'll ensure our production equipment runs smoothly, minimize downtime, and support preventive maintenance efforts as well as maintaining the general facility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on equipment (collators, laminators, die cutters, presses, personalization machines, etc.).
  • Supervise and support the daily tasks of one electromechanical technician.
  • Lead preventive maintenance (PM) efforts and ensure timely completion of PMs through CMMS.
  • Maintain work records pertaining to assignments.
  • Provide technical guidance, prioritize tasks, and support shift coverage when needed.
  • Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and root cause analysis for equipment issues.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to all health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to plan maintenance work with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain records, parts inventory, and vendor coordination as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ISO 9001 Standards and work safely in accordance with company safety policies and in addition to OSHA Regulations.
  • Oversee and perform routine maintenance and repairs of building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and propose improvements.
  • Implement best practices to reduce costs and increase productivity.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Review and approve quotes, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (experience with motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, pneumatics)
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
