Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of facility, maintenance, and process management at our Scarborough manufacturing location. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager Plant and Maintenance Engineer, the successful candidate will be accountable for driving process improvement, maintenance, and facilities management.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive. Overtime pay when applicable.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, overtime and weekends as needed.

Education: Millwright (433A) License
Experience:
- 10 years of experience as a Millwright (required)
- Mechanical engineering degree and/or project management experience is an asset
- 4+ years of experience working in a food, pharmaceutical, or other GMP environment
- Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance program
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Maintenance and Facilities departments to ensure machines are effectively maintained and the production/warehouse areas are kept clean and orderly
- Communicate and liaise with outside suppliers and contractors - coordinate their activities
- Prepare, implement, and/or monitor SOPs as necessary, to assure activities in the plant are consistent with requirements set by the company and regulatory agencies
- Investigate and implement opportunities for improvement to increase efficiencies and reduce rework/rejections
- Improve line uptime and equipment reliability
- Identify and develop short and long term plans for systems and equipment necessary to improve existing processes and meet future capacity growth plans.
- Drive continuous improvement projects following lean and Six Sigma principles
- Identify, recommend, source, participate in acquisition (FAT, IQ/OQ), and post start up support of new equipment acquisitions for the production lines and facility
- Assist to trouble shoot any immediate equipment or facility problems to minimize impact
- Assist in determining optimum line layouts and material flow patterns
- Interface with other departments in the company
- Working in compliance with the companys Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.
- Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities

Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Knowledge in the major mechanical disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
- Working knowledge and experience with CMMS
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, and manage, multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong maintenance knowledge including reliability concepts, processes and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
