Who We Are
The College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC, or the College) is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the xmkym (Musqueam), Swxw7mesh (Squamish), and slilwta (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. The College regulates over 10,000 health professionals, including chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopathic physicians, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and acupuncturists across British Columbia.
Formed on June 28, 2024, through the amalgamation of four provincial health profession regulators, the College was established as part of the Ministry of Healths initiative to modernize the health profession regulatory framework in B.C. Its primary role is to protect public health and safety by licensing and regulating health professionals and the settings in which they practice. This includes ensuring that every health professional within its purview is fully qualified to provide safe and ethical care.


Position Summary
Are you a seasoned HR professional who thrives on both strategic impact and operational excellence? Join us as a Senior HR Generalist for a dynamic 12-month contract, where youll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our HR function.
In this role, you'll operate as a trusted HR Partnerbalancing day-to-day operational leadership with the opportunity to drive meaningful change across compensation, job grading, performance management, and leadership development. Working closely with the HR Manager, HR Advisor, and HR Coordinators, youll help strengthen our HR infrastructure and elevate the employee experience across the organization.
This is an ideal role for a senior HR generalist who brings hands-on operational savvy and the strategic vision to build strong foundations in compensation, job levelling, performance management and leadership development.

It is essential for all College staff to contribute to a team approach with a public protection focus, delivering efficient services that align with and allow the College to meet its regulatory, strategic, and operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
HR Operations & Generalist Support
o Lead and optimize core HR operations and end-to-end employee lifecycle processes
Compensation & Job Grading
o Design & execute job levelling, job grading methodologies and frameworks
o Conduct compensation benchmarking and establish internal pay equity
o Build pay structures and job family frameworks aligned with our values
Performance Management
o Implement and refine performance management process (e.g. goal setting, appraisal calibration, progressive discipline process)
o Support and coach managers on change management and people development
Leadership Development
o Design, coordinate and facilitate leadership development / training programs
o Advise leadership on career progression and succession planning
Strategic HR Initiatives
o Contribute to HR strategy and roadmap development
o Support core values embedding across all HR policies and programs
o Partner with cross-functional leaders to align HR programs with organizational objectives

Qualifications and Skills
5+ years in human resources, with experience scaling HR an asset
A bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in human resources.
Proven track record building HR practices from ground-up, ideally in a growth/M&A context
Deep experience in all HR programs, and in particular leading an organization through change and compensation analysis, job levelling/grading frameworks
Experienced with designing and implementing leadership and performance management tools
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Excellent project and program management capabilities
Sound knowledge of BC employment law
Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS (BambooHR) is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Detail oriented and accurate in execution, ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Perks
The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 100,000 annually, based on a 37.5-hour work week. The starting salary will be determined by factors such as the candidates job-related knowledge, skills, experience, the salaries of peers within the same range, market conditions, and other relevant considerations.
