About the Role:

Sonic Incytes is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team! The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. They will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

This role reports to the Director of Product Development and is an in-person position in Vancouver, BC.
Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams including R&D, software, hardware, and firmware engineers throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Develop, manage, and track detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Clickup, Monday, Jira, MS Project)
  • Ensure projects are executed in compliance with ISO 13485 design control requirements, including documentation, traceability, and risk management
  • Coordinate design reviews, phase gate meetings, and change control activities to ensure alignment with regulatory and quality standards
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure timelines and product requirements are met
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, communicating progress and roadblocks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams and QA/RA to ensure product safety, efficacy, and compliance
  • Continuously improve project management processes and workflows to enhance team efficiency and product quality

Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role (internships or co-op placements can count)
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support project planning, scheduling, and documentation
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is an asset, but not required

Compensation:

  • Competitive Salary: Between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
