Are you an early riser with a penchant for stunning sunrises and fresh snow? We are looking to recruit ski/snowboard patrollers for the upcoming winter season. Members of the Ski/Snowboard Patrol are responsible for keeping our guests safe on the mountain by completing setup in the morning before guests are on the hill, performing daily run checks and other guest service functions such as accident handling, administering first aid, promoting, and creating a safe environment for guests and employees, mountain sweeps and other rescue services. Compensation Information: Starting at $21.10 per hour (increases based on qualifications and experience).
Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 25 kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting. Activities include skiing/snowboarding.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.
Skills you bring with you:
Minimum Requirements:
- 80-hour first Aid certificate or greater (OFA3, NUEC, EMR etc.)
- Strong skiing or snowboarding ability
- Physically fit and able to work in adverse weather conditions in a winter mountain environment.
- Basic understanding of ski area Risk Management.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Available to start three weeks of full-time training on October 27th, 2025.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous patrol experience
- PEAK advanced protocols
- Knowledge of the Sun Peaks ski area
- AST 1 or other avalanche courses
- Background in technical rope rescue
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervising and promoting guest safety on the hill.
- Assisting guests on the mountain and administering first aid.
- Transporting injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan.
- Performing sweeps at the end of the day to ensure that all guests are safely off the mountain.
- Ski run maintenance, such as removing fallen trees or marking off unremovable hazards.
- Transporting and setting up mountain safety equipment.
- Driving snowmobiles to various areas of the mountain, as needed.
- Assisting the avalanche control program with field work and weather observations as required.
- Completing all other duties determined by operational needs.
