Job Summary: The forklift operator is required to use industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or a similar place. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting control of inventory documentation, and full compliance with safety compliance regulations.
Salary: $20.00/hour
Professional Tasks:
- Operate lifting devices, e.g., forklifts, hoists, lifting platforms, lifting beams, and swivel hooks.
- Manually load and unload material from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices.
- Accurately ship and receive the product.
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation.
- Complete timesheets.
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance of vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
- Accurately weigh and document documents.
- Provide production data on labels.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience as a forklift operator.
- Forklift Safety Training Certificate.
- Experience in routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
