This role serves as a critical liaison between customer technical expectations and Engineering's delivery capabilities. The primary objective is to ensure optimal customer solutions and experiences by collaborating across multiple functions within the organization. Key responsibilities include documenting customer system designs, reviewing architectural and engineering solutions, advising on deployment procedures, and ensuring technical requirements are met prior to on-site implementation.
This position works under the advisement of the Senior Infrastructure Architect and works closely with Operations, Project Management, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering, and reports to the Manager, Project Management Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed customer-specific system designs.
- Collaborate with the Configuration Manager to uphold standard system design practices.
- Review and provide input on system and architectural documentation for all projects.
- Assess deployment procedures for system deployments.
- Evaluate and advise on Technical Implementation Plans (TIPs).
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-facing communication.
- Partner with stakeholders to:
- Identify and mitigate implementation risks.
- Propose system architectures tailored to project needs.
- Evaluate deployment strategies and new deployment initiatives.
- Ensure accurate post-deployment documentation, including custom configurations.
- Contribute to RFP responses and financial proposals, ensuring alignment with JSI's architectural and system design capabilities.
- Maintain deep expertise in the JSI software suite.
- Review project execution processes and recommend improvements.
- Oversee TIP dry runs and identify technical gaps prior to customer site installation.
Knowledge & Experience Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in computer science, programming or equivalent job experience.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises hardware, including network switches, routers, firewalls, storage devices, and servers.
- Experience gained through data center management or system administration roles, particularly in small to medium-sized environments.
- Broad technical exposure and involvement in infrastructure decision-making.
- Ability to apply this knowledge to support the integration of JSI's 4Sight product into a variety of customer infrastructures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
How We Work
You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
