The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for prioritizing and optimizing the overall performance of program/project cost-schedule monitoring and control.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- Hands-on Capital Program financial tracking, planning, budgeting, forecasting, administration, invoicing, reporting, and financial controls to ensure that program capital targets are met.
- Assist in planning and budget control of the Operating Expense Program.
- Analyze cost and schedule metrics and KPIs to monitor project/program progress resulting in preparing weekly, bi-weekly, monthly financial reports for internal use.
- Administer the Project Management Office.
- Ensure that regular update reports detailing status, performance, critical paths, and analysis are provided to the responsible managers.
- Interact with TPA departments and stakeholders on schedule integration and other issues as required.
- Support team members to deliver the project reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree or college diploma in business or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years' experience in project controls.
- Previous project controls experience in engineering consulting, construction or municipal government environment is an asset.
- Must be proficient with MS Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Experience working with SAP, Power BI, Vena or Jira would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong written and oral communication skills.

- Demonstrated written communication skills to draft clear and concise correspondence, formal reports and convey technical information and data in a manner that is easily understood.
