As a Traffic and Transportation Scheduler (TTS), you will play a critical role in coordinating all aspects of outbound logistics and scheduling in support of seamless warehouse operations and timely customer deliveries. This position is responsible for freight coordination, dock scheduling, and compliance with regulations and internal policies. TTS supports the Warehouse and Shipping Manager and works closely with internal teams, carriers, and customs brokers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor freight arrangements for outbound shipments.
  • Manage dock schedules, verify shipping documentation, and ensure FIFO compliance.
  • Participate in meetings to align freight and production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, food safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor transportation insurance and documentation requirements.
  • Lead implementation of new technologies and scheduling systems.
  • Track shipments and analyze carrier performance to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and assist with carrier evaluations and claims.
  • Support logistics planning, including route optimization and inventory transformations.
  • Provide professional communication and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping or transportation logistics.
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented with proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold forklift certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a grain processing environment with allergens.
  • Willingness to follow written and oral instructions and document workflows accurately.

Hours of work

This position will be working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Additional off-hour accessibility may be required
