The Cloud Policy and Governance Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing cloud governance frameworks and policies to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient use of cloud services. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to align cloud strategies with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Create and maintain cloud governance policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud services, including data security, privacy, and compliance risks.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and audit cloud environments to ensure adherence to governance, security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, legal, and business teams to ensure cloud policies align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cloud governance policies and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve cloud governance frameworks to adapt to evolving technologies and regulatory landscapes.
- Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into cloud governance and compliance status to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree with strong English writing skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud governance, policy development, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified Azure Specialty, AWS Certified Security Specialty or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with cloud management and monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
