Position: Electrical Foreman Reports to: Manager of Electrical & Controls

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our Projects team at Silver Hills. Our Electrical Lead Hand will be responsible for overseeing the electrical installation of industrial equipment and automation systems.

Things you will do…

  • Supervise team of Journeymen Electricians and Apprentices to meet and complete project objectives
  • Be able to lead, organize, coach a crew of workers to install equipment as per electrical drawings and Supervisor's instructions all done following the electrical and safety codes
  • Communicate both internally and externally with all required parties to ensure that projects are completed within time and budget in a safe manner
  • Professionalism in client/contractor relations
  • Communicating clearly and directly with other employees as well as contractors
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control daily operations including completion of work scope
  • Assist Electricians in control panel wiring, and coach them on knowledge gaps
  • Enforce WorkSafe and Company-mandated Health and Safety Standard
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, Canadian Electrical Code, and project specifications.
  • Follow all procedures for installing and maintaining electrical systems using City, Provincial bylaws, and Canadian Electrical Codes
  • Help problem solve various electrical systems and equipment
  • Assist with all types of electrical installations, including electrical wiring tasks, using schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications
  • Work on site as required, with some time in the office
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor and outdoor work; exposure to all-weather conditions such as rain and cold/ hot temperatures.
  • Depending on the task, you may be involved in repetitive motions such as splicing, pulling wire, drilling, installing light fixtures, receptacles, switches, motors, disconnects, etc.

· Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing.
  • Ability to conduct work on ladders and/or aerial platforms and comfortable working from heights (on scissor lifts and boom lifts).

Requirements

Experience

  • You have 2 years' experience as an Electrical supervisor for Industrial Automation Projects
  • You are a Red-Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • You have experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting safety circuits
  • You have FSR B Certification

Nice-to-Have

  • Desire for personal and professional development
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Electrical CAD experience and/or Basic PLC Programming Skills

License:

  • Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle required.
