Restoration Labourer

Total Restoration Services - Vernon is a full service restoration company specializing in floods, fires, sewage back-ups, storm damage, vehicle impact damage, B&E damage and reconstruction services. Reporting to the Mitigation manager, Lead Technicians in both the Emergency and Content Departments, the Restoration Labourer position can include (but is not limited to) restoration activities including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack out and storage and other specialized cleaning both on site and in the warehouse.

Job Duties:
Provide excellent customer service
Perform activities including light repairs, demolition and general cleaning as needed
Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or other production materials/instructions
Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may, or are affecting completion of job to the appropriate person
Perform Water / Flood and Contents duties as required
Participate as directed in the following activities:
- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
- Constructing poly wall enclosures
- Removing and disposing of debris
- Maintaining equipment

Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
Ensure tool and supply kits are stocked daily
Ensure all supplies required to complete work order is stocked in vehicle prior to heading to job site.
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Submit detailed time sheets daily
Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other peoples property and information
Eliminate and/or minimize having to pay for damaged property of customers
Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
Comply with all Total Restoration Services policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
This role could be required to act as a lead periodically as designated by their manager
General Labourers need to be available on a 24/7 basis for emergency restoration calls for their scheduled on-call rotation. There will be times when after hours and weekend work will be required whether on call or not.

Requirements:
Possess a valid class 5 drivers license (holding an 'N' is acceptable)
Have reliable transportation
Provide a clean drivers abstract (annually)
Provide a clean criminal record check
Ability to safely lift and carry 50lbs

IICRC credential fees are paid for by Total Restoration Services for as long as you are an employee however, it is your responsibility to ensure credentials are current and in good standing. This includes WHIMIS, First Aid, Respirator Fit Test etc.
