Summary: The Credit Manager is responsible for establishing and overseeing the operational and strategic objectives of the Credit Department. They ensure responsible lending by making wise credit decisions that adhere to the Company's credit and risk policies. The Credit Manager conducts thorough assessments of lease applications and either grants credit approvals within authorized limits or escalates decisions to higher management. Collaborating with the VP of Credit & Risk and other team members, the Credit Manager ensures that documentation processes are current and provide adequate protection for the company. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the Credit Department. * Make credit decisions in line with internal and external regulations. * Streamline the application process to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance. * Review credit escalations from credit, sales or management team. * Track and generate reports on portfolio performance. * Advise sales teams and management on different financial solutions with external funders. * Manage and update internal auto-approval algorithms. * Adjudicate lease applications, granting credit approvals within authorized limits or escalating decisions to committee. * Assist in reviewing financial statements to determine debt service ability when necessary. * Approve pricing and risk assessments. * Respond to credit inquiries from lenders regarding our tranches. * Recruit, hire, and train team members in the credit department. * Collaborate with and foster relationships with different lines of business. * Meet departmental objectives in alignment with the corporate strategy. * Keep the procedure and policy manual updated. * Stay informed about industry trends and their potential implications. * Foster a collaborative, supportive, and professional team environment * Foster communications and relationships with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, funding, and accounting.
