YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for an energetic and community-minded student to join our team as a Summer Campaign Community Fundraising Coordinator. This role supports the Fund Development team in executing the Strong Kids, Strong Communities summer appeal and community activities, fostering partnerships, and building meaningful relationships with donors and community organizations to empower local youth and families. This position will be based in Edmonton, working in our Association Services home office, with occasional travel to local centres.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Fund Development team with the implementation of the Strong Kids, Strong Communities community summer appeal.
Conduct outreach to new and past community organizations across Northern Alberta to explore partnerships, including workplace giving, third-party fundraisers, and direct donations.
Support the entry of donor data, agreements, and communications in the donor database.
Participate in the preparation and presentation of a large-scale summer appeal activity hosted primarily in Edmonton, with summer activities planned for our other regions.
Contribute to donor and funder recognition efforts and strengthen relationships with existing supporters.
Qualifications:
Current student enrolled in post-secondary education (as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for building relationships.
Experience or interest in fundraising, community engagement, or event planning is an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
