Location: Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo Metropolitan Area or Ottawa

Work Model: Onsite/ hybrid model is possible; need to be on call is part of the role

Duration: 6mo (possible extension)

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day admin operational work - a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development as required
• Provide system support, project work, system upgrades, development etc.
• Maintain or document existing software delivery platforms, support the business in transitioning to new platforms
• Support projects to upgrade existing infrastructure to more modern frameworks
• Develop and implement new infrastructure related to build and software delivery based on product delivery requirements

Qualifications

• At least 5-7 years of work experience, a systems generalist
• Programming experience in a LAMP platform
• Experience managing LAMP and MS platforms
• VCS systems like SVN and GIT
• Coding experience in PHP or Python
• Extensive MSSQL Experience version 2012 and up (fluent in setup, admin and configuration of MSSQL clusters); MSSQL upgrades
• Experience in designing and debugging MSDTC / SSIS and other integration packages
• Query optimization
• Proficiency with MYSQL
• OS platforms: Linux and Windows
• Strong software debugging skills
