Senior Project Manager - High Rise Residential - Top Developer Builder

ABOUT THE COMPANY

This award-winning real estate developer is one of the top high rise residential builders in Vancouver. They are constantly regarded as one of Canada's most prominent real estate firms, having developed and built some of Vancouvers most iconic multifamily projects for over 4 decades.

Your team will consist of some of the best and brightest high-rise professionals in the business, many of which have spent up to 30 years or more with the organization. This developer has a strong reputation for building and mentoring high performance project teams that work collaboratively as a cohesive unit.

With an upcoming project portfolio in excess of $1Billion you will play a key leadership role on the development and construction of Vancouver's residential expansion for the next 15 years of your career.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a key member of a dynamic leadership team for the delivery of a high-rise multifamily project portfolio in the lower mainland from start to finish as the lead. You will also play a key role in the mentorship and development of project team members, while progressing your career within this dynamic high rise multifamily division.

You will be called upon to be a creative “outside of the box” thinker, who leads by example, leads with purpose and who drives change and innovation

COMPENSATION: $180k to $225k Base salary, large bonus, vehicle allowance and benefits


Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from design to construction and final delivery to ensure project deadlines are met on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring all project deliverables are met
  • Manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including cost and schedule variances, to senior management and stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as required
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Lead and mentor your project team assisting in the growth and development of junior and intermediate team members

Requirements

  • 10 + years of experience managing high-rise residential construction projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Proven track record overseeing high rise construction projects 20 storey plus start to finish as the lead.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of professionals
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, construction regulations, and industry best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Experience managing project budgets and schedules, with a focus on cost control and risk management
  • Strong relationships with local high rise residential trades and consultants
